Children’s Dental Checkups & Cleanings

Six-month dental checkups and cleanings are essential for developing good oral health at an early age. We can evaluate the state of their erupting teeth and the development of their bite and facial features to ensure everything is growing correctly. Dr. Jackson and our team will closely monitor your child’s smile over time and remove accumulated plaque and tartar during each visit. If additional treatment is required, we’ll create a personalized plan and go over the details so that you and your child remain fully informed.
Dental Sealants for Kids

Protecting your child’s back teeth from decay and cavities can be easy thanks to dental sealants. Instead of allowing food particles and bacteria to penetrate the pits and grooves of a molar’s chewing surface, we can apply a clear, protective coating over back teeth to prevent future damage.
Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF)

Ideal for younger patients who are not ready for tooth-colored fillings, we can apply SDF to active cavities and immediately stop the spread of bad bacteria. While the silver arrests the decay, the fluoride remineralizes the enamel, ensuring greater protection and preservation of the tooth structure.
Lip & Tongue-Tie Treatment (Frenectomies)

A frenectomy can resolve persistent issues with feeding/latching, sleep disordered breathing, and more in a matter of minutes. Using our soft tissue laser to gently and quickly release restricted tissue that is attached behind the upper lip or underneath the tongue, this can restore a child’s oral movement and remove the source of much frustration.
Pulp Treatment

Excessive tooth pain can be remedied without extraction with pulp treatment. Similar to a root canal, this process eliminates the pain caused by an infection deep within your child’s tooth. Fortunately, we can remove a portion or all of the pulp, leaving behind a healthier tooth that is properly protected with a custom-made dental crown.
