Dentist in Elba

Get to Know Timothy M. Jackson, DMD

Born and raised in Alabama, Dr. Tim Jackson has practiced general dentistry for more than 40 years. Coming from a healthcare family (two of his brothers went into the medical field), he was drawn in that direction before graduating from high school. He ended up being invited by the family dentist to come work part-time during the summer months between his sophomore and junior years of undergrad. That experience made it clear that dentistry was the right place for him. All these decades later, he still looks forward to going to the office and enjoys the relationships he’s built with his patients across the decades.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Jackson graduated from the University of Alabama in 1981 with magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa honors. Four years later, he earned his DMD from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, again graduating with honors. Since then, he has focused on building a dental practice that the people of Elba and its surrounding communities can trust. Dr. Jackson offers gentle care backed by a commitment to study new procedures and technologies that will enhance patient comfort and extend the life of their dental work.

Dr. Jackson’s decades of experience are bolstered by countless hours of continued education, which include training in CEREC same-day crowns, dental implants, clear aligners, root canal treatment, cosmetic dentistry, and facial esthetics (Botox and filler). He’s also a member of several professional associations:

  • American Dental Association
  • Alabama Dental Association
  • Academy of General Dentistry
  • American Academy of Facial Esthetics

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Happily married for 35+ years with three adult children (who he is proud to say are all University of Alabama graduates!) and one wonderful grandson, Dr. Jackson values family foremost. When not making memories with loved ones, he enjoys playing golf, tennis, and guitar in his free time. He and his family attend Elba Methodist Church, where they are actively involved in teaching Sunday School, singing in the choir, and serving on various committees.
